SCIENTIFIC FORUM

UzLITI Engineering carries out active scientific activity aimed at development of new technological approaches and their practical implementation.

One of the directions of this work is regular participation of UzLITI Engineering specialists in large international scientific and technical forums, where they have an opportunity to familiarize the world scientific community with their developments and exchange experience with foreign colleagues. The 153rd International Conference on Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies, organized by the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society of the USA, held in Orlando, Florida, USA, on 3-7 March 2024, was such an event. Our country and company were represented by Elyorjon Jumaev, Orifzhon Mikhliev, Dilshodbek Usmonov, Mukhammadzhon Usmonov and Sarvar Rozikhodjaev.

This annual meeting brings together more than 4,000 engineers, scientists, business leaders and other specialists in the field of minerals, metals and materials for a comprehensive interdisciplinary exchange of technical knowledge. More than 165 institutes, national research and development centres, universities and industrial companies participated in this year's conference. Engineers and scientists from the world's largest metals and mining companies such as Haynes, RJ Marshall, Boeing, Mitsui Mining and Smelting Co. Ltd, DOWA Metals & Mining Co., Ltd, CanmetMINING, Natural Resources of Canada, Hyundai Motor Group presented their work and technological concepts. In addition, renowned institutes such as NASA, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technologies, University of Oxford, University of Stanford, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, China University of Mining and Technology presented their scientific developments.

“This forum is the largest platform where the world's leading researchers and scientists working in this field present their theoretical and practical developments," said Elyorjon Jumaev, Advisor on Innovation and Metallurgy to the Director of UzLITI Engineering . “At the conference, we presented an approach we have developed to replace rare earth metals with cheaper metals in structural materials.”

It is worth noting that during the Uzbek scientists' presentation, several companies became interested in Uzbekistan's industrial opportunities and supported their scientific approach.
