ALCOR BIMDAY 2019

Design techniques, construction planning and supervision related annual conference ALCOR BIMDAY 2019 was held on June 17th in Tashkent. The conference was attended by representatives of universities, government agencies, architects, designers, project managers, management of construction companies and steel structure fabricators.

In terms of its size, the ALCOR BIMDAY 2019 UZBEKISTAN conference became the largest event in the field of design and construction in Uzbekistan. Among the speakers of the event were heads of representative offices in the CIS of GRAPHISOFT, Bentley Systems, TRIMBLE, Leica Geosystems, key specialists of ALCOR and users of BIM-technologies solutions, such companies as PRIDE (Russia) and Steel Property Construction (Uzbekistan).

Presentations and discussions were held within the two thematic areas such as civil and industrial engineering. The sessions have combined dialogues between architects and builders on application of BIM-technologies in designing and construction of civil facilities.

GRAPHISOFT presented new ARCHICAD v.23 software product, which sets a new BIM-applications performance standard, increases the interdisciplinary interaction level and expands the architectural modeling capability. Also, GRAPHISOFT presented a free BIMx application, which runs on the basis of “hypermodels” and enables the navigation elements connection as per 2D and 3D-design of buildings.

TRIMBLE company presented TEKLA Structures, which is the most technologically advanced software for information modeling and designing of building structures. TEKLA modeling tools enables one to work both with reinforced concrete and steel structures, to immediately build parametric structural elements: columns, beams, bracing, cross-beams and struts of any profile with specified properties.

Bentley Systems has demonstrated innovative practices by utilizing the “models of reality” for survey and design of the plot plan. The technology enables to deliver an actual picture at the construction facility by means of photogrammetry along with adding data from tacheometer, graphic data and GIS.

In the concluding part of the conference the ALCOR team announced the opening of the representative office of MIZAR LLC in Tashkent, which will represent interests of all the partners and will be happy to provide full support to users throughout the Republic of Uzbekistan.
